Well, exciting news. After Mike and I had been worrying that nothing was happening last week, we took Bella to the vet. We were one day early! Her progesterone was 4.2 and vet said the magic should happen the next day. Boy howdy did it! Not much sleep in the Rogers house. And to think, I asked Jolanta (SchubertUS kennels) if maybe Shadow was trying to tell me something 2 years ago when I came home to find him wearing my running bra. Nope. He had done his job admirably, if not incessantly. So now we wait. June 30 we are scheduled for an ultrasound! Until next time…..don’t take sleep for granted. Oh, and look at them, sleeping like babies after an ‘event.’ They have woken us up at 4am, 11pm, and many other times of day! But, looks like it was hard work for both of them!

So many things happening! Finally updating this website! Why? Because we are preparing for possible breeding of Shadow and Bella! Both have completed genetic testing and OFA hip and elbow testing and have passed on all counts! We are scheduled to meet with a veterinarian that is a reproductive specialist – we want to make sure Bella receives the very best care throughout the process. Mike and I have been reading and studying numerous books on breeding and new puppy care! We anticipate Bella’s next cycle to begin in later June – we will keep you updated! In the meantime, please look at all the new photos, stories, and videos that are now uploaded! Enjoy
